Teodoro Mantilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Claude's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Teodoro Mantilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Rojas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Cañani OFF's Romulo Otsoa got control of the ball when Jonathan Lluciano tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Cañani OFF's goalkeeper Romulo Otsoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cayetano Joanes. SMARTS FC's Teodoro Mantilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Claude in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Cañani OFF were awarded a corner. Paulino Osoitz went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Rojas in the 29th minute of play forced SMARTS FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Mantilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jorge Balesio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romulo Otsoa was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, SMARTS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Lico came free, but Teodoro Mantilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Joanes in the 45th minute of play forced Cañani OFF's goalkeeper Romulo Otsoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Otsoa made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Cayetano Joanes sent off a good shot on target. After 46 played minutes SMARTS FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Miro. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cayetano Joanes made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Jacinto Rojas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teodoro Mantilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Teodoro Mantilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Rojas in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Cañani OFF getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ovidio Claude hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SMARTS FC's Eustacio Aureo got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Claude in the 68th minute of play forced SMARTS FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Mantilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Cañani OFF's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Lluciano came free, but Romulo Otsoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Cañani OFF's protests and gave Lech Koprowski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Lech Koprowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SMARTS FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
