In the 9th minute Carlos Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xan Descapa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, FC Philotimo's goal looked a bit too open when Urki Miras came free, but Alexandro Gavilanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Dan Ciubuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joaquin Loredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, FC Philotimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucílio Vilanova to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Joaquin Loredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandro Gavilanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urki Miras in the 29th minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Alexandro Gavilanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xan Descapa was a little too slow when Carlos Alvarez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, Ornopata's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alvarez came free, but Xan Descapa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alvarez took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xan Descapa. Xan Descapa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The FC Philotimo fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when FC Philotimo's Carlos Alvarez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC Philotimo's Carlos Alvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Philotimo made a substitution. Stig-Arne Valler replaced Xeromo Garibay. FC Philotimo's Fabian Vime was substituted for Patricio Igartua. After 66 played minutes FC Philotimo got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Froylan. The supporters of Ornopata booed when FC Philotimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Vime didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ornopata defense, Figueroa Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xan Descapa. The Ornopata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xan Descapa should have stopped the shot. Ornopata made a substitution. Fernando Arco replaced Urki Miras. After 74 played minutes Ornopata got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Björnsson. Xan Descapa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Figueroa Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Figueroa Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Xan Descapa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute Figueroa Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xan Descapa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandro Gavilanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Arco in the 87th minute of play. Xan Descapa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Figueroa Machado in the 89th minute of the match. Xan Descapa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ornopata's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
