Mattin Solbeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Alvarez in the 10th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Roberto Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Ferro was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Fred Åkerström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fred Åkerström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, PEÑAROL PIPERO's Bianco Florio got a free kick in the 25th minute. A collision led to Playa Malvín getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gamus Rocha hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Agustín Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Roberto Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Horado in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Åkerström in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Ferro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute Agustín Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Alvarez in the 39th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peli Carreño hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Playa Malvín's Oscar Ferro threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fred Åkerström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Martinez Somellero fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PEÑAROL PIPERO's protests and gave Martinez Somellero a yellow card for diving instead. Martinez Somellero hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Oscar Ferro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Mândrilă in the 51st minute of the match. Agustín Alvarez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Zé Roberto Teixeira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattin Solbeida in the 63rd minute of play. PEÑAROL PIPERO's Padro Mayorga was substituted for Agustín Alvarez. PEÑAROL PIPERO made a substitution. Conrado Real replaced Alfonso Combi. PEÑAROL PIPERO made a substitution. Millrick Portanares replaced Bianco Florio. Conrado Real made in the 68th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Padro Mayorga however managed to control. If Gonzalo Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niva Espellosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niva Espellosa in the 76th minute of play forced PEÑAROL PIPERO's goalkeeper Oscar Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, PEÑAROL PIPERO's goal looked a bit too open when Niva Espellosa came free, but Oscar Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Roberto Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Rogelio Horado sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Ferro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niva Espellosa went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Zé Roberto Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattin Solbeida in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute Niva Espellosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the PEÑAROL PIPERO players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Playa Malvín.
