Denizli United's Zülfikar Neyzen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon van Persie in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute ÇALIMLI were awarded a corner. Seyrani Erçetin went to the cornerflag to take it. Zülfikar Neyzen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leon van Persie's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Leon van Persie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zülfikar Neyzen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Mustafa Necati Acunalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferhat Uğuş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Barnabé Amice fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ÇALIMLI's protests and gave Barnabé Amice a yellow card for diving instead. Barnabé Amice hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of ÇALIMLI booed when Denizli United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zülfü İrfan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zülfikar Neyzen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zülfikar Neyzen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon van Persie in the 87th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Yusuf Atılay in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ÇALIMLI's Halil Utku Ocakoğlu. After 96 minutes, Gündüz Cihangir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denizli United and the ÇALIMLI players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ÇALIMLI support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
