An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Rossi in the 2nd minute of play forced Lobster if's goalkeeper Thor Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zézinho Rossi scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thor Gustafsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Zézinho Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Zézinho Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thor Gustafsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 吴常响 charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 吴常响 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 吴常响 hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Jim Liljeström in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 27 de Mayo's Ernani Vargas. Zézinho Rossi might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thor Gustafsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zézinho Rossi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute Zézinho Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Gustafsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Zézinho Rossi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Lobster if's Thor Gustafsson. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinei Tasso was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, 27 de Mayo's Claudinei Tasso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thor Gustafsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Virgílio Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Thor Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of 27 de Mayo booed when Lobster if was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Mattsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thor Gustafsson having to interfere. Jarne Vrancken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Tasso took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thor Gustafsson. Thor Gustafsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Thor Gustafsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hélder Severo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 70 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Claudinei Tasso took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Thor Gustafsson to make any attempt to save it. 81 minutes into the game, 27 de Mayo's Jarne Vrancken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thor Gustafsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. 87 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Julin came free, but Rogério Soberano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Claudinei Tasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Lövgren in the 95th minute of play forced 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Rogério Soberano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 de Mayo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
