MIT Craiova's Vlad Anghel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Galindo in the 7th minute of play. Silvio Mikolas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Bocaneț, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Erlantz during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauro Erlantz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Cristinel Bocaneț ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvio Mikolas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Silvio Mikolas came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by MIT Craiova's Cristinel Bocaneț. But to his dismay, Cristinel Bocaneț quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Vlad Anghel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Gabino went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Club Atlethico Talleres's Guido Goi suffered a sore foot after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 46 minutes, Maxim Petran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT Craiova and the Club Atlethico Talleres players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to MIT Craiova getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Maxim Petran hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristinel Bocaneț to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Cristinel Bocaneț put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Silvio Mikolas. During the 63rd minute of the match Maxim Petran completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Maxim Petran a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when MIT Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Petran didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Gorgan in the 66th minute of play forced Club Atlethico Talleres's goalkeeper Silvio Mikolas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aureliano Johans kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Club Atlethico Talleres's Silvio Mikolas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Opincaru in the 72nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute Gigel Gorgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Mikolas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Mauro Erlantz in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MIT Craiova's Mihai Cismaș. Club Atlethico Talleres's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
