Isaac Fridlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Fillol having to make a save. The referee ignored Black Rose 1979's protests and gave Godofredo Cuartio a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Black Rose 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Cuartio. 65 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Black Rose 1979's Patricio Fillol. Patricio Fillol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
