C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 11th minute of play. Benedicto Ireno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Perez in the 13th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Aníbal Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jenipapo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Ireno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl Pilgren came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Yin Wei Yi. But to his dismay, Yin Wei Yi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Yin Wei Yi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Pilgren was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Benedicto Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Terra in the 29th minute of play. Benedicto Ireno made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Aníbal Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yin Wei Yi in the 34th minute of play. Haroldo Terra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's goalie prevented a goal. Benedicto Ireno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 38th minute. A collision led to C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Igor Montes hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Haroldo Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Ireno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Benedicto Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Monteiro in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Igor Montes hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's Guga Tavares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedicto Ireno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Teodosio Montes was substituted for Yin Wei Yi. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Honorato Gasteiz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pedrinho Goiano, made in the 65th minute of the game. Haroldo Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ made a substitution. Anselmo Valiente replaced Cecilio Eli. With his leg Karl Pilgren managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Teodosio Montes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benedicto Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 77th minute of play. Pedrinho Goiano got a throw-in 79 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Zé Carlos Monteiro. After having played for 82 minutes, Haroldo Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenipapo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Perez came free, but Benedicto Ireno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Guga Tavares. Karl Pilgren was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Igor Montes. The audience was convinced that Ricardinho Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedicto Ireno was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Anselmo Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ were awarded a corner. Igor Montes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Fernando Seber got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Karl Pilgren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
