With a little luck, CD Municipal's George Forsyth got control of the ball when Eusebio Ecija tried to sneak it across the goal line. Omar Lauren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Puja, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. CD Municipal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Peter Haber in the 13th minute. CD Municipal's Peter Haber was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Omar Lauren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Omar Lauren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Puja in the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Till Slesinski got a free kick in the 18th minute. Deportivo Balvanera's Omar Lauren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryota Miyagi in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Puja in the 29th minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Omar Lauren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Lauren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evtim Kúrdzhev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Cordero was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, one of Deportivo Balvanera:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Balvanera. Peter Haber took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Omar Lauren. Omar Lauren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. George Forsyth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Ecija, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Ryota Miyagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Lauren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Haber made a great header on CD Municipal's corner, it was just that Deportivo Balvanera's Omar Lauren managed to reach the ball for a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oalo Dean to make the kick off. It was a penalty for Deportivo Balvanera! The crowd rose to their feet as CD Municipal's Peter Haber slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Omar Lauren. That made the score 0-2 after 54 minutes of play. In the 57th minute Renato Portalupi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD Municipal made a substitution. Enrique Cassaretto replaced Oalo Dean. CD Municipal's Tulio Andinyach was substituted for Evtim Kúrdzhev. After 60 minutes CD Municipal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eusebio Ecija who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Martino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Martino hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Kaczorowski came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Balvanera's Jaroslaw Kaczorowski got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Tulio Andinyach got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in CD Municipal's zone, Jaroslaw Kaczorowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Forsyth came out of the goal and Jaroslaw Kaczorowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Cassaretto came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Omar Lauren could save by the left post. Omar Lauren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Enrique Cassaretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Omar Lauren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrique Cassaretto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 86 minute of play. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Ecija, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Deportivo Balvanera were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after CD Municipal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eusebio Ecija took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of CD Municipal's goalie and right to Natalio Martino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. CD Municipal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Although Deportivo Balvanera had been in control for most of the match, CD Municipal still came away with the win.
