A sloppy throw-in by Edgard de Lima in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Marcos Senesi. The supporters of ADM Taquaras booed when ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobromir Bara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Oliver Bierhoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Vicky Donda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vicky Donda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales De Mileto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicky Donda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tord Söderqvist scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Moreno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Jeremias Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rıfkı Erdönmez in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute Rıfkı Erdönmez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oliver Bierhoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luo Qing Xi in the 83rd minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Jeremias Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Masetti came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Chico came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
