The referee ignored Stiinta-Univ.'s protests and gave Mihai Niță a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of DINAMO booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Niță didn't get a good kick on the ball. DINAMO's Felix Erbașu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stiinta-Univ.. After 8 minutes Stiinta-Univ.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felix Erbașu who took care of the corner kick. Felix Erbașu made a great header on DINAMO's corner, it was just that Stiinta-Univ.'s Gabi Boldici managed to reach the ball for a save. Avram Seremet hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Burdujan to maneuver through the defense. Gabi Boldici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 44th minute of the match. During the 45th minute of the match Mihai Niță completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mihai Niță a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of DINAMO booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Niță didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Sabău.

Felix Erbașu made a great header on DINAMO's corner, it was just that Stiinta-Univ.'s Gabi Boldici managed to reach the ball for a save. Felix Erbașu's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Gabi Boldici - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Lucrețiu Nicodim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DINAMO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiinta-Univ. the free kick. Stiinta-Univ. made a substitution. Ovidiu Borza replaced Gigi Dobre. Lucrețiu Nicodim kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Gabi Boldici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Nicodim in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Sabin Piersic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Gabi Boldici was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
