A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Luis Semeno hit a great ball. Berutti FC's Mark Wenerdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Berutti FC from getting a goal against them. In the 40th match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Beltza to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Isaias Chaime got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Isaias Chaime hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Bernardo Benet hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Mainumby's Eusebio Fiz was substituted for Luis Semeno. Mainumby's Amadeo Olivar was substituted for Armando Beltza. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edelmiro Cheche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 81st match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Fiz to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Camilo Uxio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rigoberto Santxol hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edelmiro Cheche in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Gau saved Mainumby from getting behind. Gerardo Oinatz's late challenge caught a Berutti FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerardo Oinatz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Gerardo Oinatz hit a great ball. Berutti FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
