Rosendo Escobar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Hanni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jimeno Pitin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Isidoro Dolfos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rosendo Escobar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Abad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Celtic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Gonsalvo to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Club Almirante Brown's Prospero Abad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
