If Marcelo Salas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Genaro Ciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Comizzo having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Marcos Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Pascual Austin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Teodelina FC's Julio Chumo. Julio Chumo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pascual Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Sol kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Julio Chumo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Austin in the 35th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Pascual Austin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Julio Chumo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute Marcelo Salas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Chumo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Vicente Ganix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Oxel kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, RIVER's Pascual Austin made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Chumo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Pascual Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Mas to strike the kick off in the second half. Pascual Austin had several of the Teodelina FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 54 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Julio Chumo as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Pascual Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes RIVER got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Salas. After 58 played minutes RIVER got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Frutos. 59 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Ganix came free, but Angel Comizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angel Comizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Mas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Pascual Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Austin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Chumo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Genaro Ciano struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Angel Comizzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teodelina FC. Marcelo Salas's late challenge caught a Teodelina FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Salas helped the player get up and apologised. Marcelo Salas kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Pascual Austin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vicente Ganix kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Salas in the 94th minute of play forced Teodelina FC's goalkeeper Julio Chumo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched RIVER eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
