Dagoberto Esteves was slow to take the kick. During this time S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's players had a chance to rest. 13 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Velloso came free, but Fausto Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Rui da Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Orlando Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Marcel Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barbie Doll United U23's Orlando Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui da Costa in the 21st minute of play. Orlando Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Fausto Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, S.E.R. Orlando Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Abreu in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Velloso in the 37th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Fausto Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrão Arce took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Ferraz. Fausto Ferraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. With his leg Orlando Barral managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Marcel Abreu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Barbie Doll United U23's zone, Marcel Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Barral came out of the goal and Marcel Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Carlos Alberto Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Marcel Abreu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Orlando Barral. That made the score 1-4 after 73 minutes of play. A collision led to Barbie Doll United U23 getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Romeu Arce hit a great ball. Pedrão de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Fausto Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barbie Doll United U23. 85 minutes into the match, Barbie Doll United U23's goalkeeper Orlando Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Abreu. Fausto Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão de Azevedo in the 87th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Prata to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Soni Féron with Kauã Vander as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Barbie Doll United U23 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's performance. The match ended with a win for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul.
