Justavino Centeno went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 28th minute of the match, Ricardo Navedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oso Udoy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Loja S.C.'s Tzvetan Kirkorov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlín Telleria in the 31st minute of play. When Augusto Maquilanda fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Reign's protests and gave Augusto Maquilanda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Red Reign was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Maquilanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Navedo in the 34th minute of play forced Red Reign's goalkeeper Oso Udoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Navedo came free, but Oso Udoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tzvetan Kirkorov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Jimilio in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Red Reign got a corner. Loja S.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edgar Goya ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Edgar Goya almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Loja S.C.'s Tzvetan Kirkorov did a great save. A collision led to Loja S.C. getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ricardo Navedo hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Arlín Telleria came free, but Tzvetan Kirkorov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oso Udoy made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Fabricio Vedeja sent off a good shot on target. Red Reign's Oso Udoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Red Reign from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, German Vedeja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Jimilio to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Jimilio got free with Tzvetan Kirkorov in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes of play, Loja S.C.'s Fabricio Vedeja made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oso Udoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Loja S.C.'s Alexandro Antoniano got a free kick in the 65th minute. Oso Udoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Vedeja in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Loja S.C. were awarded a corner. Justavino Centeno went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Justavino Centeno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Red Reign's Oso Udoy did a great save. When Loja S.C.'s Fabricio Vedeja in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Red Reign's goalie prevented a goal. Tzvetan Kirkorov made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Arlín Telleria sent off a good shot on target. Loja S.C.'s Tzvetan Kirkorov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Loja S.C. from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Tzvetan Kirkorov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arlín Telleria. Loja S.C. made a substitution. Tomas Villadiego replaced Fabricio Vedeja. Red Reign's Augusto Maquilanda got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Augusto Maquilanda off the ground. In the 91st match minute, Red Reign was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Maquilanda to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute Arlín Telleria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tzvetan Kirkorov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
