Johan Öman took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dražen Ladić. Dražen Ladić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dražen Ladić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Voicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Andrew Robertson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carles Olle. That made the score 1-1 after 24 minutes of play. Dariusz Harbaszewski kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Voicu was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in VILLARREAL UNITED's zone, Martín Ferreyra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carles Olle came out of the goal and Martín Ferreyra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carles Olle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Robertson in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54thth minute of the game Valentin Voicu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th play minute Valentin Voicu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dražen Ladić. 1-2. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero was substituted for Haroldo Alfonso. Dražen Ladić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentin Voicu went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 71st minute of the game Cayetano Berenguer made a throw-in which Marcelo Cordero played forward. The corner led VILLARREAL UNITED's Sven-Olof Ståhlberg to a score. 1-4 in the 77th minute. Valentin Voicu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valentin Voicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dražen Ladić having to make a save. Dražen Ladić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Voicu in the 91st minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VILLARREAL UNITED walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
