In the 3rd minute, one of Surahammar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Surahammar. Michael Näver made a great header on Protegéerna's corner, it was just that Surahammar's Carl Engström managed to reach the ball for a save. Ingemar Åberg came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Surahammar's Radamel Oakley. But to his dismay, Radamel Oakley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 15th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Ingemar Åberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Michael Näver hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Arman Lingren in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Surahammar's Jens Back. Radamel Oakley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingemar Åberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Ingemar Åberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radamel Oakley, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ossi Eloranta hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Skarkman in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Engström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casemiro Joinvilense hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Carl Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Söderlund in the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes Surahammar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Michael Näver who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Protegéerna's Michael Näver to fire away a dangerous shot which Carl Engström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Casemiro Joinvilense hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Carl Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 56th minute of the match. Fernando Arango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Carl Engström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Surahammar made a substitution. Zlatan Lion replaced Toninho Lara. Surahammar's Folke Skröder was substituted for Vincent Benett. André Pettersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Protegéerna made a substitution. Bo Låsberg replaced Fernando Arango. With a little luck, Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg got control of the ball when André Pettersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carl Engström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Carl Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petter Skarkman in the 77th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Petter Skarkman notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Surahammar's Carl Engström. Carl Engström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Protegéerna's attentive Cosme Demesio managed to snatch the ball when Cristiano Osman made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. Protegéerna's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
