A throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game was made by Erland Mellin with Bror Lilja as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Protegéerna's goalkeeper Ingemar Åberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 minutes Protegéerna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bror Lilja who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Hermanö Oilers's Bror Lilja to fire away a dangerous shot which Ingemar Åberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper Oskar Haeger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Protegéerna were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Hermanö Oilers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Michael Näver took the corner. 31 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Oskar Haeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Petter Skarkman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Protegéerna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Dave Di Filippo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Di Filippo to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes in the game Erland Mellin did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bror Lilja. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petter Skarkman in the 63rd minute of play forced Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper Oskar Haeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Hood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oskar Haeger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petter Skarkman went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute of the game Apa Banana made a throw-in which Dave Di Filippo played forward. 80 minutes into the game, Petter Skarkman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oskar Haeger. Petter Skarkman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After having played for 83 minutes, Petter Skarkman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Protegéerna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petter Skarkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oskar Haeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 91st minute of the match. Petter Skarkman struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Oskar Haeger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Protegéerna. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Yasen Súlov hit a great ball. In the 96th minute of the match Robin Hood sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingemar Åberg skillfully saved the ball. In the 97th minute of the match Hermanö Oilers got a corner. Protegéerna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robin Hood ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Protegéerna players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
