With an all-out effort, Inter Gala's Renan Mendes threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaime Rodrigues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Renan Mendes stood somewhat misplaced when Cristóvão Ribeiro came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marvin Salamanca in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Matanza and Steelers booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Magnus Biörkquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Mendonça's late challenge caught a Matanza and Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Richard Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, Matanza and Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Gomes to maneuver through the defense.

Jaime Rodrigues hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the match, Matanza and Steelers's Leysus Oktavianus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Baiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th minute Leysus Oktavianus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marvin Salamanca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Baiano having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Fontes. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Gala's zone, Jacek Limanowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Baiano came out of the goal and Jacek Limanowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renan Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Souto in the 70th minute of play. Renan Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 72nd play minutes Heinz Stalder shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Renan Mendes and just under the crossbar into goal. Inter Gala's Gustavo Salles was substituted for Donato Capixaba. Renan Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Mendonça in the 78th minute of the match. Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Peixoto in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leysus Oktavianus in the 85th minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Eduardo Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes Inter Gala's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Renan Correia who took care of the corner kick. If Edgar Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leysus Oktavianus succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 90th playminute. Wiliam Peixoto succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. Matanza and Steelers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
