Newcastle United's Ksawery Kiepski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Newcastle United from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as 1. FC Krotoszyn's Andrzej Gacek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ksawery Kiepski. That made the score 3-2 after 95 minutes of play. 1. FC Krotoszyn's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
