The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Dráuzio Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abel de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Toninho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Carrapichel - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Freitas came free, but Edson Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Adrianinho Negri got a free kick in the 16th minute. Adrianinho Negri charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrianinho Negri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adrianinho Negri hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The long shot by Rogério Alcântara in the 18th minute really tested Toninho Pinheiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Acácio Neto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Toninho Pinheiro. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. David Fernandes scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toninho Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Diguinho Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Toninho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Acácio Neto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Toninho Pinheiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 34th minute, Eriberto Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Toninho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Nilmar Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, David Fernandes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toninho Pinheiro. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 47th minute, David Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carrapichel - FDFDF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilherme Abud made a kick off. When David Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrapichel - FDFDF's protests and gave David Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. David Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Kléberson Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Abel de Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carrapichel - FDFDF's Allan de Lara was substituted for David Fernandes. Carrapichel - FDFDF made a substitution. Róbson Melo replaced Tony Dias. DENVER™'s Toninho Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Camargo in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Carrapichel - FDFDF booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Acácio Neto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho Pinheiro was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Kléberson Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Toninho Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abel de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toninho Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Neto in the 93rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Carrapichel - FDFDF had played much better football throughout.
