The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of AJ Juventus FC booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erberk Müftüoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ryszard Pankiewicz. Kerry Sellers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mambru Puertas having to make a save. Mambru Puertas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Sellers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Gustafson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Ryszard Pankiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farid Mondragón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match AJ Juventus FC got a corner. C. A. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vladimir Tepes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of C. A. Independiente's goalie and right to Cosme Reno. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. C. A. Independiente's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Tomas Gustafson made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AJ Juventus FC's Cosme Reno. Ryszard Pankiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Farid Mondragón made a huge save. The throw-in from Erberk Müftüoğlu in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AJ Juventus FC's Joshua Kimmich. Farid Mondragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ryszard Pankiewicz's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Benja Villaraud hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Alfredo Felder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mambru Puertas having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, AJ Juventus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Gould came free, but Mambru Puertas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 44 in the game by Ryszard Pankiewicz from a close distance when the talented Farid Mondragón managed to make a qualified save. C. A. Independiente's players were relieved. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by C. A. Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vladimir Tepes was slow to take the kick. During this time AJ Juventus FC's players had a chance to rest. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton was substituted for Garth Gould. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tommie Bolton was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 53rd minute of play forced AJ Juventus FC's goalkeeper Mambru Puertas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Pankiewicz in the 61st minute of the match. Ryszard Pankiewicz struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Farid Mondragón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AJ Juventus FC. AJ Juventus FC made a substitution. Lv Chen Xing replaced Genaro Valdemoro. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Pankiewicz in the 65th minute of the match. Tommie Bolton in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mambru Puertas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. AJ Juventus FC's Misael Huerga was substituted for Vladimir Tepes. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by AJ Juventus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Farid Mondragón didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toma Cabeza went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toma Cabeza in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes in the game Tomas Gustafson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alfredo Felder. 92 minutes into the game, Toma Cabeza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Farid Mondragón was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AJ Juventus FC had won after a very even match.
