The Isótopos V.M. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Frantzes should have stopped the shot. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Naboonga Wild Katt FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Oihenarte came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Isótopos V.M.'s Albeiro Usuriaga made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anton Björnberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pastor Frantzes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shao Sang Yu in the 27th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Naboonga Wild Katt FC's goal looked a bit too open when Taribo West came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Isótopos V.M. were awarded a corner. Telmo Nogueira went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Morrison got free with Pastor Frantzes in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Isótopos V.M.'s Orvar Carlsson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Orvar Carlsson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Isótopos V.M. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Orvar Carlsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Isótopos V.M.! 40 minutes into the game, Naboonga Wild Katt FC's Quentin Francis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pastor Frantzes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Naboonga Wild Katt FC's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albeiro Usuriaga in the 45th minute of play.
