Marcos Berdoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Totakoxe made a huge save. With a little luck, Vascão-ES's Arnaldo Totakoxe got control of the ball when Şevket Çağa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute Anselmo Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Totakoxe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Anselmo Nevada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Nevada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Totakoxe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermengildo Erroman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Berdoi got free with Arnaldo Totakoxe in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute Marcos Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zézinho Vinhas hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Nevada in the 40th minute of play forced Vascão-ES's goalkeeper Arnaldo Totakoxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Neves in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Vascão-ES got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Mineiro. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Marcos Berdoi made the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Totakoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Berdoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Marcos Berdoi put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Arnaldo Totakoxe. Arnaldo Totakoxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 55th minute of play. Anselmo Nevada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Vascão-ES getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cauã Mineiro hit a great ball. Şevket Çağa charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Şevket Çağa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vascão-ES booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şevket Çağa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgílio Neves came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pankracy Glogowski could save by the left post. Şevket Çağa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Cauã Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Berdoi in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Totakoxe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Zézinho Vinhas's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Vinhas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vascão-ES's Zézinho Vinhas got a free kick in the 94th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
