In the 13thth minute of the game Thierry Henry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Murcia Promesas's Berriotxoa Jareño was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Godfredo Griego kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Murcia Promesas booed when Pragmáticos 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Paz kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Pragmáticos 1903's Zé Carlos Britto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Pragmáticos 1903 from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the game, Ramón Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pragmáticos 1903's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Murcia Promesas the free kick. Ramón Silva hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thierry Henry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pragmáticos 1903 were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Murcia Promesas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferenc Puskás took the corner. When Thierry Henry, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Berriotxoa Jareño was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 69th minute Checa Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Carlos Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Checa Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Carlos Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agapito Cabanela in the 73rd minute of play. Berriotxoa Jareño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Puskás in the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Pragmáticos 1903 booed when Murcia Promesas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Licerio Lacorte didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ferenc Puskás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agapito Cabanela took the ball and in the 106 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Carlos Britto. Zé Carlos Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.
