The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Bator in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Józef Wandzik saved Dark Drinkers Sanok from getting behind. Gliwicka Torcida's Fabian Bator managed to work through Dark Drinkers Sanok's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fabian Bator dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a rather tough play, Gliwicka Torcida's Karol Chrobak got a free kick in the 8th minute. Benet Amorebieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 9th minute of the match, Benet Amorebieta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudinho Taffarel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alfred Odachowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Claudinho Taffarel made a huge save. Benet Amorebietas short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Claudinho Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 34 minutes into the match, Dark Drinkers Sanok's goal looked a bit too open when Izydor Ciszewski came free, but Józef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Ingvar Danielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Józef Wandzik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dark Drinkers Sanok's Alfred Odachowski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Grzegorz Wielowiejski, made in the 69th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benet Amorebieta in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gliwicka Torcida's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benet Amorebieta in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Benet Amorebieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute Benet Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gliwicka Torcida supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gliwicka Torcida would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
