Albano Cambranes might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrick Layton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albano Cambranes ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.D. Bajen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bonifacio Fraco was slow to take the kick. During this time Monte Hermoso Beach's players had a chance to rest. Monte Hermoso Beach's Florentino Gil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rodrick Layton in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Octavio Fournier hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Cambranes came free, but Rodrick Layton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Albano Cambranes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrick Layton was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. S.D. Bajen's Rodrick Layton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Cambranes in the 17th minute of play. Rodrick Layton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albano Cambranes in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Cambranes in the 20th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Rodrick Layton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Fournier in the 24th minute of play forced Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Jonatan Enekoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes, Erik Clifton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.D. Bajen and the Monte Hermoso Beach players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erik Clifton kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Monte Hermoso Beach's Jonatan Enekoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Fournier in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to S.D. Bajen getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Odell McPherson hit a great ball. Honorio Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rodrick Layton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Maximo Lico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monte Hermoso Beach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Monte Hermoso Beach made a substitution. Gregorio Bastian replaced Saturnino Musko. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavio Fournier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Odell McPherson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jonatan Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Gregorio Bastian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrick Layton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rodrick Layton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Bastian, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. During the 64th minute of the match Octavio Fournier completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Octavio Fournier a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 65th minute, Octavio Fournier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Gregorio Bastian took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Rodrick Layton to make any attempt to save it. Maximo Lico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rodrick Layton made a huge save. After a rather tough play, S.D. Bajen's Rolando Burks got a free kick in the 71st minute. Maximo Lico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rodrick Layton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, S.D. Bajen's Rodrick Layton got control of the ball when Maximo Lico tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrick Layton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Bastian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Monte Hermoso Beach's Rodrick Layton threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gregorio Bastian, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Maximo Lico came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rodrick Layton could save by the left post. 86 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Arias came free, but Rodrick Layton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Rodrick Layton successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximo Lico got free with Rodrick Layton in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Gregorio Bastian got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 97th minute Gregorio Bastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrick Layton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Monte Hermoso Beach's Honorio Arias got a free kick in the 98th minute. The S.D. Bajen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monte Hermoso Beach's performance. The match ended with a win for Monte Hermoso Beach.
