The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Perthes United's Allan Wetzel got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Ikatz made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Allan Wetzel sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Constantin Badet was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maël Négrel in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Ikatz saved Willy Brown FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Willy Brown FC's zone, Allan Wetzel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Ikatz came out of the goal and Allan Wetzel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes Willy Brown FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Telo. Thanks to some nice moves Allan Wetzel could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Severino Ikatz however easily saved by the left post. Perthes United were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Willy Brown FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Constantin Badet took the corner. Perthes United's Constantin Badet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Severino Ikatz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 28th minute, Allan Wetzel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severino Ikatz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Wetzel got free with Severino Ikatz in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the game, Willy Brown FC's Baldomero Jerrald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabien Gury made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 38 minutes of play, Willy Brown FC's Jacinto Gaitano made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabien Gury was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Wetzel made a kick off. Maël Négrel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 54 minutes of play, Perthes United's Maël Négrel made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Ikatz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabien Gury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Banegas in the 60th minute of play. Severino Ikatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maël Négrel in the 63rd minute of the match. Perthes United's Fabien Gury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Montrelle in the 67th minute of play. Emanuel Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Severino Ikatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Wetzel in the 70th minute of play. Fabien Gury showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Banegas in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Perthes United's Marcel Gherardi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcel Gherardi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Perthes United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcel Gherardi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Perthes United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Fabien Gury had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Emanuel Telo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Samuel Houssin hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Willy Brown FC's Baldomero Jerrald got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Loïc Boissinot fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Perthes United's protests and gave Loïc Boissinot a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Perthes United got a freekick which was hit by Loïc Boissinot. After 87 played minutes Perthes United got a freekick which was hit by Allan Wetzel. If Allan Wetzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perthes United's Allan Wetzel got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Willy Brown FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Claudio Cresencio hit a great ball. Allan Wetzel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Perthes United failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
