An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Penha in the 5th minute of play forced Chaján's goalkeeper Victor Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mateus Alves sped through Chaján's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victor Semeno. The AVAÍ F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when AVAÍ F.C.'s Mateus Alves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 13 minutes, Mateus Alves made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Chaján's Victor Semeno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Barea in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Bohn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Mateus Alves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AVAÍ F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. When Ermegildo Oihenarte fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaján's protests and gave Ermegildo Oihenarte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chaján getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ermegildo Oihenarte hit a great ball. After 23 minutes, Mateus Alves made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Chaján's Victor Semeno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mateus Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Semeno having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Augusto Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Ademir Rossi got a free kick in the 31st minute. Augusto Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Semeno having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateus Alves to strike the kick off in the second half. Roman Abadie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. André Luiz Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Semeno having to interfere. After 57 minutes of play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Mateus Alves made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Semeno was left in no man's land by his defense there! AVAÍ F.C. were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Chaján's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Penha took the corner. The audience was convinced that Mateus Alves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Semeno was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. A collision led to Chaján getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Benedicto Honesto hit a great ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Benedicto Honesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaján's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Honesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when Chaján was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Barea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chaján's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joaquim Ceresso 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. In the 90thth minute of the game Joaquim Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chaján's Victor Semeno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Victor Semeno managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when AVAÍ F.C.'s Joaquim Ceresso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Chaján fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AVAÍ F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
