In the 2nd minute, Auley Ryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hubert Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auley Ryan in the 4th minute of play. Hubert Fagrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gandalf Szarpak in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Auley Ryan came free, but Hubert Fagrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Christer Hylander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rönnöfors FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1948 MKS the free kick. 1948 MKS's Barhan Barrett was substituted for Daniel Doherty. After a rather tough play, Rönnöfors FF's Christer Hylander got a free kick in the 10th minute. Hubert Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patty McGlynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Auley Ryan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Fagrell was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When Oskar Vennerberg fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rönnöfors FF's protests and gave Oskar Vennerberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when Rönnöfors FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Vennerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Forssberg came free, but Hickey Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rönnöfors FF's Sven Hultman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hickey Dunne in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hubert Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Auley Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Rönnöfors FF's Hubert Fagrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Auley Ryan in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Forssberg came free, but Hickey Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Auley Ryan to maneuver through the defense. Patty McGlynn scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Fagrell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half 1948 MKS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hubert Fagrell made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Patty McGlynn sent off a good shot on target. During the 60th minute of the match Oskar Vennerberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Oskar Vennerberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Rönnöfors FF getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Oskar Vennerberg hit a great ball. With a little luck, Rönnöfors FF's Hubert Fagrell got control of the ball when Patty McGlynn tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, 1948 MKS's Patty McGlynn made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hubert Fagrell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hickey Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frans Enegren in the 73rd minute of play. Hubert Fagrell was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Auley Ryan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Auley Ryan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Hickey Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Forssberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Daniel Forssberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hickey Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Forssberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Patty McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Hickey Dunne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The 1948 MKS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 1948 MKS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
