Ronny Hurren succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Santiago Cazorla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ardahan Hekimbaşı. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 12th play minute Mesut Özil came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ardahan Hekimbaşı. 3-0. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Ardahan Hekimbaşı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mesut Özil in the 15th minute of play. Mesut Özil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ardahan Hekimbaşı. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Behzat Özal got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jack Gates took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakkı Kenan Uygun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Ashley Ross ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ardahan Hekimbaşı was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mesut Özil in the 30th minute of play forced MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's goalkeeper Ardahan Hekimbaşı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ardahan Hekimbaşı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mesut Özil, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Kubilay Hasret kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Cemil Açıkel hit a great ball. Greenbay were furious when Romeo Bryant was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Greenbay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu:s goal. Greenbay:s Jack Gates showed great skill when he stopped Hakkı Kenan Uygun:s penalty. After some careless play in the Greenbay defense, Hakkı Kenan Uygun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jack Gates. The Greenbay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Gates should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Ferdi Bro got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ashley Ross stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ardahan Hekimbaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trev Jones in the 53rd minute of play. If Santiago Cazorla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes, Ashley Ross made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Ardahan Hekimbaşı tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ashley Ross in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ardahan Hekimbaşı saved MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Ashley Ross ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ardahan Hekimbaşı was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. The supporters of Greenbay booed when MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamer Özkaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ardahan Hekimbaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Cazorla in the 70th minute of play. Ardahan Hekimbaşı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Deon Bye went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score. Ardahan Hekimbaşı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ashley Ross, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Ashley Ross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Cazorla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ardahan Hekimbaşı having to interfere. Ashley Ross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakkı Kenan Uygun's late challenge caught a Greenbay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hakkı Kenan Uygun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd match minute, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Kenan Uygun to maneuver through the defense. Greenbay's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
