Alfons Lövgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro de Queirós in the 8th minute of the match. Alfons Lövgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandro de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Ola Blom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Luís Fábio Bittencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 13 minutes, Ola Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bahrtys Talanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ola Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Fábio Bittencourt was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, Bernardo Silva made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fábio Bittencourt. PORTUGUESA-RJ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 22nd minute Dre Schipmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Bernardo Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Luís Fábio Bittencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute of the game Kjell-Arne Ingvall made a throw-in which Dre Schipmans played forward. 32 minutes into the match, Dre Schipmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Fábio Bittencourt. PORTUGUESA-RJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dre Schipmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Luís Fábio Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Bahrtys Talanger's Ola Blom. But to his dismay, Ola Blom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 38th minute, Oswaldo Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PORTUGUESA-RJ's Luís Fábio Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Silva in the 40th minute of play. Luís Fábio Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Bahrtys Talanger's Bernardo Silva. But to his dismay, Bernardo Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Silva was the one to do the kick off. Dre Schipmans came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luís Fábio Bittencourt could save by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Ola Blom made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fábio Bittencourt. PORTUGUESA-RJ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. Alfons Lövgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro de Queirós in the 66th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Ola Blom took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Luís Fábio Bittencourt to make any attempt to save it. Ola Blom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fábio Bittencourt having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Sandro de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Lövgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ola Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfons Lövgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro de Queirós in the 88th minute of the match. Bahrtys Talanger's Dre Schipmans got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
