The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Drafi's Kosmas Kitsas suffered a concussion after 2 minutes and had to leave the field. Joe Grosso's late challenge caught a Drafi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joe Grosso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Drafi booed when Herblay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joe Grosso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Batiste Botella recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stelios Venetidis. Batiste Botella showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Kylian Wiart took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Stelios Venetidis to make any attempt to save it. If Ryan Hellec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot 12 in the game by Kylian Wiart from a close distance when the talented Stelios Venetidis managed to make a qualified save. Drafi's players were relieved. In the 16th minute, Kylian Wiart left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herblay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 18 played minutes Herblay got a freekick which was hit by Joe Grosso. Giorgos Charisteas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Kylian Wiart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Lambros Papachronakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stelios Venetidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christophe Beaulieu in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Herblay's Batiste Botella nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stelios Venetidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 43rd minute, Herblay's Joe Grosso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stelios Venetidis. Stelios Venetidis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0. Kylian Wiart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stelios Venetidis having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kylian Wiart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Batiste Botella made a precise shot to the right of Stelios Venetidis. Drafi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 61 minutes into the match, Batiste Botella notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Drafi's Stelios Venetidis. Stelios Venetidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 63rd match minute, Herblay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Michel Portier to maneuver through the defense. Éthan Plantade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stelios Venetidis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batiste Botella in the 70th minute of play forced Drafi's goalkeeper Stelios Venetidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Jean-Michel Portier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Stelios Venetidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75thth minute of the game Batiste Botella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drafi's Stelios Venetidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stelios Venetidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kylian Wiart went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. Stelios Venetidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christophe Beaulieu's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 86thth minute of the game Joe Grosso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drafi's Stelios Venetidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Batiste Botella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Stelios Venetidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stelios Venetidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kylian Wiart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Drafi getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Giorgos Charisteas hit a great ball. Stelios Venetidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Grosso in the 97th minute of play. Herblay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
