The tension between the Royal Excel Mouscron and the Unicorns ™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marc Målare hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Frans Koch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Tufescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Koch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Răduț, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Marc Målare cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Corneliu Vulpăşin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iulian Buciu took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frans Koch. Frans Koch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Unicorns ™ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Marin Tufescu hit a great ball. A collision led to Royal Excel Mouscron getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Erland Skager hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Răduț in the 29th minute of play forced Royal Excel Mouscron's goalkeeper Frans Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Målare got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Royal Excel Mouscron getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Marc Målare hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Marin Tufescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unicorns ™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Frans Koch was a little too slow when Niculae Bărbulescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-1. Corneliu Vulpăşin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Tunberg went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marin Tufescu was the one to do the kick off. Marin Tufescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frans Koch having to interfere. Matthias Ekeroth hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes Royal Excel Mouscron got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Edvin Skålberg. 64 minutes into the game, Jonas Tunberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Corneliu Vulpăşin. Jonas Tunberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Jonas Tunberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 68th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 69th minute, Silviu Bogătan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Timmy Nordgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin got control of the ball when Erland Skager tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonas Tunberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Corneliu Vulpăşin. That made the score 3-4 in the 77 minute of play. Frans Koch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marin Tufescu went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. Frans Koch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Buciu in the 85th minute of play. Frans Koch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Răduț in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Alex Răduț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unicorns ™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. The supporters of Royal Excel Mouscron booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Bogătan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Unicorns ™'s zone, Jonas Tunberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Vulpăşin came out of the goal and Jonas Tunberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unicorns ™'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
