In the 19th minute, Galo do Cerrado's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alfredo Gosch fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 21 minutes, Amado Iratze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Cavern Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Iratze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredo Gosch kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredinho Andrade. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Galo do Cerrado's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Anselmo Arnas scored to the left of an out of position Alfredinho Andrade, making the score, 2-0. Alfredinho Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Iratze in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, German Henric notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Galo do Cerrado's Alfredinho Andrade. Alfredinho Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Matorin in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arsenio Javiar saved The Cavern Club from getting behind. In the 63rd minute, Anselmo Arnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio Matorins short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Arsenio Javiar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 70th minute, Alfredo Gosch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredinho Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arsenio Javiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Galo do Cerrado's goal looked a bit too open when German Henric came free, but Alfredinho Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Amado Iratze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredinho Andrade. Galo do Cerrado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Iratze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. When Amado Iratze fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Cavern Club's protests and gave Amado Iratze a yellow card for diving instead. Amado Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Cavern Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
