Zé Carlos Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Waldemar Peixoto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Carlos Britto. Waldemar Peixoto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Waldemar Peixoto took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Carlos Britto. Zé Carlos Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 25th match minute, HARPIAS E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Moura to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Samuel Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fellipe de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HARPIAS E.C's protests and gave Fellipe de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pragmáticos 1903 booed when HARPIAS E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes HARPIAS E.C got a freekick which was hit by Tião Catarinense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Carlos Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Mangueira in the 54th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes HARPIAS E.C got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Santana. 60 minutes into the match, Pragmáticos 1903's Samuel Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edvaldo Araújo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, HARPIAS E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. Sandrinho Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Sandrinho Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HARPIAS E.C's protests and gave Sandrinho Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes HARPIAS E.C got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Mangueira. In the 70th minute, Sandrinho Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. HARPIAS E.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Giovani Sanches scored to the left of an out of position Edvaldo Araújo, making the score, 2-1. Paulão Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Carlos Britto having to make a save. If Paulão Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, HARPIAS E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Luizinho Zonta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvaldo Araújo having to make a save. HARPIAS E.C's Sandrinho Mangueira got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Sandrinho Mangueira off the ground. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. HARPIAS E.C were victorious despite being under pressure from Pragmáticos 1903 for much of the match.
