An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Galsino in the 6th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Serginho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the MINEIROS defense, Ermegildo Terciero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serginho Taffarel. The MINEIROS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serginho Taffarel should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Sirius Dog booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermegildo Terciero scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Taffarel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laureano Barto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Toninho Goiano notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sirius Dog's Laureano Barto. Laureano Barto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sirius Dog's Alvaro Eguerdi got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Serginho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Eguerdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serginho Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Galsino went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 42 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Eguerdi came free, but Serginho Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, Sirius Dog's Alvaro Eguerdi made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

João Vítor Linhares's late challenge caught a Sirius Dog's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Vítor Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor Linhares to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, Alvaro Eguerdi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Serginho Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute, Alvaro Eguerdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save MINEIROS from getting a goal against them. Laureano Barto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Quadros in the 64th minute of play. Delmiro Goi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serginho Taffarel came out and tried to block the shot, but Delmiro Goi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 66th minute. Laureano Barto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Goiano in the 71st minute of play. Sirius Dog's Laureano Barto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Quadros in the 73rd minute of play. Laureano Barto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Quadros's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Laureano Barto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Fermin Isias's late challenge caught a MINEIROS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Terciero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Serginho Taffarel made a huge save. In the 96th match minute, Sirius Dog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Tibalt to maneuver through the defense. The Sirius Dog players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
