The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Elias Umbruso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcial Goito. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Elvio Galtero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Estevez in the 6th minute of play. Marcial Goito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Iruinea in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute Florentino Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Umbruso scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Goito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ernestina FC's Marcial Goito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Iruinea in the 18th minute of play. Marcial Goito didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Iruinea in the 24th minute of play forced Ernestina FC's goalkeeper Marcial Goito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Elias Umbruso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcial Goito. Elias Umbruso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. In the 30th minute, Nicasio Aballe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Estevez was slow to take the kick. During this time Ernestina FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Ramon Henric managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 61 minutes into the match, Jacobo Iruinea notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Ernestina FC's Marcial Goito. Marcial Goito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 72 minutes of play, Forest Green's Jacobo Iruinea made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Goito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernestina FC's Marcial Goito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Piarres in the 76th minute of play. Omar Selatse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Forest Green getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ambrosio Dalmu hit a great ball. Marcial Goito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Umbruso in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Americo Bieito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Ramon Henric was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ernestina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forest Green the free kick. In the 96th minute of the match Cayetano Guillelme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcial Goito skillfully saved the ball. Forest Green's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
