If Primitivo Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Lia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Evaristo Trucios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Joel Baumer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute Herminio Guifre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Trucios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kris Palmann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Felix Inocente. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Baumer in the 32nd minute of play forced CF Eleven Lions 2007's goalkeeper Evaristo Trucios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by CF Eleven Lions 2007's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Baumer was slow to take the kick. During this time UPAU FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on UPAU FC's corner Joel Baumer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Evaristo Trucios quite easily take care of the ball. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herminio Guifre was the one to do the kick off.
