When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Bernabe Ferreyra sped through Salvador Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Fernando Batista. In the 24th minute, Benigno Txatxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Cavalcante in the 26th minute of play forced Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jorge Iribarren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gildo Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salvador Futebol Clube's protests and gave Gildo Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Salvador Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Ferraz. The audience was convinced that Benigno Txatxu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Fernando Batista was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 36 minutes, Bernabe Ferreyra made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Salvador Futebol Clube's Luís Fernando Batista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Iribarren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernabe Ferreyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Luís Fernando Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Bernabe Ferreyra made the kick off in the second half. Benigno Txatxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Sacronas Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Bernabe Ferreyra put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Fernando Batista. Luís Fernando Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Ferreyra in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernabe Ferreyra in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fernando Batista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th match minute, Sacronas Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Ferreyra to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd match minute, Salvador Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Bernabe Ferreyra put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Fernando Batista. Sacronas Futbol Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
