Bo-Erik Grubb's late challenge caught a Pisang Goreng United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo-Erik Grubb helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Bo-Erik Grubb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andreas Åhlberg struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Wilfried van Nistelrooij didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Björnlunda IF. Wilfried van Nistelrooij showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Jan Middeljans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Malte Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo-Erik Grubb in the 34th minute of play forced Pisang Goreng United's goalkeeper Wilfried van Nistelrooij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfried van Nistelrooij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Åhlberg in the 43rd minute of the match.

In the 76th minute, Chiel Koops left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pisang Goreng United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The supporters of Pisang Goreng United booed when Björnlunda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Grubb didn't get a good kick on the ball.
