The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Dehli hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. A collision led to Oslo City FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Kristian Evenstad hit a great ball. A hard shot by Remicio Camposano from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Markus Ryen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 27 played minutes Oslo City FC got a freekick which was hit by Christer Skjønberg. 28 minutes into the match, Oslo City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvino Ferreira came free, but Markus Ryen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Abraham Alnæs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of U.C.MILÁN booed when Oslo City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Evenstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Fontaine got free with Markus Ryen in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Markus Ryen made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Osvaldo Fontaine sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute of the match, Osvaldo Fontaine got a very nice opportunity to score, but Markus Ryen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rubén Lillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Ryen having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Oslo City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvino Ferreira came free, but Markus Ryen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oslo City FC's Markus Ryen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Oslo City FC from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christer Skjønberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sergio Livingstone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksander Skramstad in the 51st minute of play. Oslo City FC's Markus Ryen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvino Ferreira in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Rubén Lillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. U.C.MILÁN's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubén Lillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Ryen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Silvino Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Markus Ryen. Oslo City FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. David Butt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Mark Gonzalez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, U.C.MILÁN's Rubén Lillo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Christer Skjønberg struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Sergio Livingstone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oslo City FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Christer Skjønberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergio Livingstone. That made the score 1-1 in the 78 minute of play. Mark Gonzalez hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Peter Dehli charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Dehli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th match minute, Oslo City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Dehli to maneuver through the defense. David Butt took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Livingstone. Sergio Livingstone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see U.C.MILÁN lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
