After 39 minutes of play Atlético de Candamil's Luís Aragones was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Luís Aragones hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Raymundo Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Gilesindo having to interfere. Casimiro Argenis charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casimiro Argenis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Casimiro Argenis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raymundo Diaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martin Locaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Sirvent read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Atlético de Candamil getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Efraín Raya hit a great ball. After 60 played minutes, Granateam's Feliberto Firmin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodolfo Sirvent came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Granateam reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Locaio in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Sirvent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the game, Cirilo Gonzalez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Granateam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético de Candamil the free kick. Cirilo Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Feliberto Firmin kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Raymundo Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Marcial Gilesindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Martin Locaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sergio Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Gilesindo having to interfere. When Granateam's Martin Locaio in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Efraín Raya's late challenge caught a Granateam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efraín Raya helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Efraín Raya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
