Agnis Kairāns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony de Andrade in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Viestards Judelsons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th match minute, FK Poolisti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinis Dauge to maneuver through the defense. Agnis Kairāns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráusio Siqueira made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Rainers Konuševskis sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute Bruninho Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnis Kairāns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Bruninho Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rony de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnis Kairāns having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FK Poolisti's Valfrīds Augusts got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Bruninho Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FK Poolisti's Agnis Kairāns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Pereira in the 41st minute of play. After 46 played minutes FK Poolisti got a freekick which was hit by Imants Buldovskis. Rony de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Agnis Kairāns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WAU team. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rony de Andrade made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Rony de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agnis Kairāns was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Bruninho Borges scored 1-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agnis Kairāns, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Valters Zeimuls had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Sidnei Pereira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Agnis Kairāns. That made the score 1-2 in the 79 minute of play. In the 81st minute, FK Poolisti's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rony de Andrade fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 94 minutes into the game, Bruninho Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Agnis Kairāns was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
