With a little luck, 1947 FC's Pedro Orlondon got control of the ball when Gabi Batistuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cayetano Darien couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute Cayetano Darien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Jobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Ishmael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Etor hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabi Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabi Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Magic is Back were the better team. Magic is Back's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
