Bernd Chevalier in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Julien Klopp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Florentino Selmo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Florentino Selmo made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Julien Klopp sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Clason booed when FC Lëtzebuerg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernd Chevalier didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbano Macario was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bernd Chevalier made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Selmo. Clason's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. A collision led to FC Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bernd Chevalier hit a great ball. If Bernd Chevalier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julien Klopp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Julien Klopp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Selmo was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 65 minutes of play, FC Lëtzebuerg's Bernd Chevalier made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florentino Selmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 75 minutes into the match, Clason's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Klopp came free, but Florentino Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Tim Tudor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julien Klopp might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florentino Selmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julien Klopp ran back to his position shaking his head. Florentino Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julien Klopp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Frankie Kremer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Bernd Chevalier notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Clason's Florentino Selmo. Florentino Selmo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Julien Klopp put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Florentino Selmo. There was no doubt that FC Lëtzebuerg were the better team. FC Lëtzebuerg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
