With a little luck, Hamburg Fighters's Corvin Kasik got control of the ball when Feliciano Niguel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esteve Innocenzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Bensch in the 10th minute of the match. After 17 minutes of play, Hamburg Fighters's Marcus Bensch made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteve Innocenzio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, Velez Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Bensch came free, but Esteve Innocenzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Marcus Bensch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 40 minutes into the game, Hamburg Fighters's Uri Senftleben nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esteve Innocenzio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The supporters of Velez Sport Club booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunter Thanner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Esteve Innocenzio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 55 minutes, Luka Reich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hamburg Fighters and the Velez Sport Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Uri Senftleben received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Esteve Innocenzio came out and tried to block the shot, but Uri Senftleben slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 59th minute. After 62 played minutes Velez Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Munio. Luka Reich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Esteve Innocenzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Luka Reich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Innocenzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Niguel scored 1-5 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corvin Kasik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luka Reich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Henrico came free, but Corvin Kasik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Marcus Bensch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Innocenzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esteve Innocenzio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcus Bensch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 91 minute of play. Johannes Bernlöhr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Esteve Innocenzio made a huge save. Hamburg Fighters's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
