Gustavo Xavier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Gracie Barra's Kaká do Vale got a free kick in the 12th minute. Gustavo Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Restu in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celso Soeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Gracie Barra's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Gracie Barra's Samuca Seco to a score. 1-2 in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Paulo Policarpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gracie Barra getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Flavinho Koehler hit a great ball. Gustavo Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Policarpio in the 22nd minute of the match. Armandinho Barreto hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Policarpio came free, but Gustavo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Laurgain scored 1-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Xavier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carmelo Marino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Rosado in the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Rosado came free, but Carmelo Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Pelayo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Samuca Rosado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 36 minutes of play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Leopoldo Laurgain made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Armandinho Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Leopoldo Laurgain made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Xavier. Gracie Barra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. 44 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Policarpio came free, but Gustavo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Samuca Rosado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carmelo Marino. Samuca Rosado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuca Rosado to make the kick off. When Paulo Policarpio fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s protests and gave Paulo Policarpio a yellow card for diving instead. Gracie Barra's Gustavo Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Policarpio in the 54th minute of play. Gustavo Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Herauso came free, but Gustavo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Celso Soeiro came free, but Carmelo Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Rosado in the 63rd minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Carmelo Marino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vincent Janssen kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Leopoldo Laurgain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Xavier having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Leopoldo Laurgain ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gustavo Xavier. Gustavo Xavier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. After 77 minutes of play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Teofilo Herauso made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Gracie Barra's zone, Leopoldo Laurgain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Xavier came out of the goal and Leopoldo Laurgain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Gustavo Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Herauso. Teofilo Herauso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gustavo Xavier firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gustavo Xavier made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Leopoldo Laurgain sent off a good shot on target. Teofilo Herauso scored 2-9 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Xavier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
