Stormur Muren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Iordache in the 9th minute of the match. Jens-Ove Käcker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Traian Ispas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Bornescu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Nechifor Ivașcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kind of Blue's Lennart Pihlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stormur Muren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Erik Malm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stormur Muren came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Oltul Slatina's Stelian Iordache. But to his dismay, Stelian Iordache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 31st minute, Nils-Erik Malm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stormur Muren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Stormur Muren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Erik Malm in the 33rd minute of play. Stormur Muren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Iordache in the 37th minute of the match. The corner led FC Oltul Slatina's Matei Mârza to fire away a dangerous shot which Stormur Muren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Traian Ispas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Traian Ispas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lennart Pihlberg. After the first half FC Oltul Slatina were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nils-Erik Malm to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Kind of Blue got a freekick which was hit by Petter Abrahamsson. A collision led to FC Oltul Slatina getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ferdinand Ghiurutan hit a great ball. Kind of Blue's Fredric Botvidsson suffered a sore thigh after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kind of Blue's Malte Siöberg was substituted for Fredric Botvidsson. Răzvan Deliman kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 63 played minutes FC Oltul Slatina got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Erik Malm. In the 64th minute Lennart Pihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Ispas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Holger Springfält managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kind of Blue's supporters rose to their feet, but Holger Springfält was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Traian Ispas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 minutes, Nechifor Ivașcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Oltul Slatina and the Kind of Blue players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes FC Oltul Slatina got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Ivașcu. After 74 played minutes FC Oltul Slatina got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Iordache. Kind of Blue's Stormur Muren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Kind of Blue from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC Oltul Slatina's Ernest Bornescu got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Pihlberg in the 89th minute of play forced FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Traian Ispas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Holger Springfält scored 2-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Traian Ispas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Oltul Slatina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
